The short version: Markdrop converts your files entirely inside your browser. We don't have a server that receives your markdown, your documents, or your exported files.
Markdrop does not require an account, and we don't collect, store, or transmit the content you type, paste, or upload into the tool. There is no server-side processing step in the conversion pipeline — everything happens in JavaScript running on your own device.
When you type in the editor, upload a file, or click a download button, all of the work — parsing markdown, rendering the preview, and generating a PDF, Word, or HTML file — happens directly in your browser. The generated file is created in memory and offered to you as a download; it's never sent anywhere else first.
To display typefaces and math in the editor, your browser may load a small number of external resources not hosted by us, including:
These providers may log standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type as part of serving those files, under their own privacy policies. They don't receive any of the content you write in Markdrop. Markdown parsing and document export run from code bundled with this site, not from a document-processing API.
Markdrop does not set its own cookies and does not run any first-party analytics or tracking scripts. If this changes in the future, we'll update this policy before doing so.
Markdrop is a general-purpose tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all as part of normal use.
If our practices change — for example, if we ever introduce optional accounts or server-side features — we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date above.
